Lukes new car!Home of the #66 Thomas Racing Team
A couple of weeks ago we sold the truck and bought a mustang. The same week we bought the mustang and completed it that same week so it was ready to go. We took it to the track but later in the night the engine blew. 3 motors put in different cars, and 3 motors blown. Not too bad of a year! We finally broke down and rebuilt a totally new motor hoping to last more than a week. We got the motor in the mustang and got it too the track. Luke went out for hotlaps but pulled into the pits. We examined the motor and found that the crankshaft we worn down because of all the other blown motors. With the help of some racing buddies we will have the car ready for this weekend. This weekend should be full of fun with autograph session, Hall of Fame, and Conways kids night!! Come on out for a good time! Hope to see you all there.
Opening night we sponsored 66 hot dogs. During the first yellow flag of Luke's heat the announcer made the announcment that the first 66 people at the concession stand who said "GO LUKE 66" got a free hot dog. You should have seen them scramble!

This will be 14 year old Luke's rookie season driving a Ford Ranger mini stock. With the truck completed and our excitement on high alert, the Thomas family is ready to go racing at Angola Motor Speedway. Keep checking back for more pictures, news, and event postings.
